OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

To reduce health and safety risks for its employees, R1 S.p.A.’s Management has voluntarily decided to comply with the UNI EN ISO 45001:2023 standard.

R1 S.p.A. is therefore committed to pursuing continuous improvement of its safety measures, minimizing, where technically possible and economically sustainable, any risk to workers’ safety.

R1 S.p.A. is sensitive to the safety of its employees’ work environments, and to give substance to these intentions, it commits to implementing and continuously improving an Occupational Health and Safety Management System compliant with UNI EN ISO 45001:2023 and to pursuing the following strategic objectives and guidelines:

  • ensure that its activities are carried out in compliance with current legal provisions; to this end, it periodically verifies its legislative compliance and uses ISO 45001 certification as an implementation and audit tool;
  • maintain a proactive management role in promoting continuous improvement in matters covered by the Occupational Health and Safety Management System;
  • implement every effort in organizational, operational, and technological terms to prevent/reduce health and safety risks for its employees;
  • define safety objectives to be implemented and integrated with operational management and company development programs;
  • ensure that all personnel receive adequate information and training on the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and understand its implications regarding their role in the company and their work behavior;
  • conduct verifications, inspections, and audits aimed at identifying and preventing any situations of non-compliance with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System;
  • develop and fine-tune plans containing measures and procedures necessary to prevent incidents or emergency situations;
  • periodically review the policy and application of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System to assess its correctness and effectiveness, with a view to continuous improvement;
  • consult with stakeholders, particularly workers and their representatives, regarding occupational health and safety matters.
